5 oh my gosh, shocked stars

Shocked because I love Ms Rowe so much. But the blurb on this sounded very surface. Not to spoil or anything but there is way more story here than I thought there’d be. I thought a quick smutty read, perfect. I fell in love with this story. It has a wee bit of insta love and a little slow burn towards the end. I know. It sounds hard to have instant and slow. But it happens. Smoking hot sex scenes. Great dialogue. Highly recommend

OMG I loved Lucas and Abby ❤️❤️❤️ This was a fantastic, sexy and heartfelt read by Lauren Rowe. I make no secret about the fact that I love her writing, it's fun, smart and sassy all in the same breath. Misadventures on the Night Shift does not disappoint in the "heat department." I can assure you that your panties will melt right off after working the night shift with Abby! Lucas is a brilliant, talented rock star who of course has no shortage of female attention. He's a man that is used to getting what he wants and his rude behavior fits the broody rocker image to a tee. He ends up in Penthouse A of the hotel Abby works at, not by choice, but out of obligation to his record label to write songs in order to fulfill his contract obligations. In comes Abby.... Oh my gosh do I love Abby and her sassy, sarcastic mouth. Lucas is her idol, he adorned her bedroom walls as a teen and she can't believe he's actually at her hotel. However, once he starts talking she realizes that her fantasy of who he really is goes out the window. He’s a jerk, acts entitled and expects everyone to jump when he wants them to. Abby knows how to put Lucas in his place and she does not back down when he's rude and pushy with her. Seriously, what could be more awesome than a woman who doesn’t take crap from a man, right?!?! The banter between the two of them will make you blush, laugh out loud and smile. Abby is all spunk and Lucas starts to take notice. The story between Lucas and Abby is erotic and sexy as hell. Their connection is raw, real and bottom line smoking hot. But that's not all this story is. Lauren gives us fantastic insight into who Lucas and Abby really are. Note: Do NOT read this one at work like I did. It's way too hot and spicy to handle at work. But you can't stop yourself from reading it either! Abby is working the night shift - hence the name - at a hotel when her favorite rock star comes in and needs a room. Yes he's famous but Abby won't put up with him acting horrible and entitled. So she tells him off. And gets Lucas's motor running and interest piqued. And this starts Abby's misadventures while working at the hotel. Her hot misadventures. Another AMAZING Lauren Rowe book!

Amazingly HoT RockStar Romance

This story sent my kindle up in FLAMES! Ok, not really but the story is so amazingly HOT, there were times I almost had to put my kindle down and grab a cold drink to cool off. From page one to the very last page, I was truly captivated by every word in this story. Hands down the best so far in the Misadventures Series. A line up full of amazing authors and this story totally gave me all the feels. Abby and Lucas for the WIN!!! The heroine, Abby, has a teenage fantasy of Rock Star Lucas Ford. One day all grown up Abby is working in a posh hotel in Denver, when who walks in but the HOT, talented, crazy amazingly awesome, heart throb that was plastered all over her walls growing up. So, I know you're already thinking, girl meets teenage fantasy and it's an insta-love story, WRONG!!! Not all all. Lucas was in need of a reality check and Abby was just the one to "check" him in this misadventure story on the Night Shift. There's no denying the chemistry between these two. It's almost as if you're right in Lucas' hotel room with them. Such an amazingly well developed story line. So much depth packed into this short story. It's what gave me all the feels for each and every time I re-read this story!!! WOW!!! This connection between the two is so believable, it's almost unreal. This isn't just another fast past sexcapade adventure, it's so much more!!! I don't want to give away too much but there was just so much to this short story. So much more than the week or so they spent in a hotel room. A longing, a trying hard to forget and move on yet realizing it's simple impossible. This ain't your momma's love story. Yet, it's still one that will have you talking about it for years to come. Can't wait to read more in this series, but absolutely can't wait for Lauren Rowe's next installment. As of right now, Luke and Abby own me!!! So book hung over!! These words were just so beautifully written. I want MORE Lucas and Abby!! I want to feel like the very first time I read this book. 5 Stars OH MY GOSHHHHHH!!! Lauren Rowe does it again!!! I can’t even contain my excitement over this book! Misadventures on the Night Shift by Lauren Rowe is a smoking hot standalone novel. Ms. Rowe continues to blow me away with her imagination and her writing. Each book I read of hers is different and mind blowing and Misadventures on a Night Shift is no different. Abby and Lucas’ journey is filled with so much heat, humor, and many other emotions. Abby is a law student by day and a front desk clerk at night at the Rockford hotel. The nightshift is perfect for her because she is able to study. She works her butt off and according to her parents she is unredeemable. When her teenage fantasy comes walking into the hotel one night, Abby is starstruck. When he opens his mouth though he ruins everything by acting like a snob and a spoiled brat. So when he propositions her she wants to say no but she can’t. But what happens when make believe begins to feel like really real? “Angel. Assassin. Whoever you are, you’re conquering me. You know that? You’re conquering me, baby.” Lucas Ford looks like he has it all from the outside. A big name in music, countless beautiful women and he's loaded. Looks can be perceiving though. He’s struggling creatively and needs inspiration. When he meets Abby at the hotel he’s staying at, he knows she will be the perfect muse. But what he was not expecting was someone who would change every single aspect of his life… This book was EVERYTHING!!! I enjoyed Abby and Lucas... The game was fun but the chemistry and emotions made this book a non-stop read for me. I loved Lucas and his sexy ways. His empowerment of Abby was a true turn on but the addiction of her is what made me believe it had changed a long time ago. Pure lust and respect was made in Penthouse A. Regardless of all other things a muse is what Abby was not. This was my first book by Lauren Rowe and I truly enjoyed the character growth and understanding. How one push and pulled the other. It was just a sweet erotic romance.

Holy hotness! Misadventures on the Night Shift should be read while sitting directly in front of a fan because this book is crazy hot. I loved every second of it. On top of all the sexiness and kink, you get a well written, fun story with amazingly well-developed characters. Lauren Rowe completely rocked this book. Lucas and Abby are so much more than they seem. Lucas Ford is a majorly popular and famous rock star who just needs one more album free himself from his current contract. So he decides to stay in hotel for a week to write the songs for his album. There he meets Abby Medford. She works the night shift as a hotel clerk so she can attend her law school classes during the day. With her smart mouth and sass, Lucas has found his muse. So he propositions Abby for the week of erotic games. Spending a week with her teenage crush, she couldn’t refuse. As the week goes on feelings begin to grow. I loved Abby. She may come across as a straight-laced well put together woman but underneath there’s a layer of kink and sexual prowess. It’s sexy. Abby has a past that she was convinced was bad and shameful. She’s spent years trying to get away from it; living a “healthy” lifestyle. With Lucas’s help she begins to own her past and desires and becomes this strong and amazing heroine. This book flowed so smoothly. I was so entertained and enthralled in the story, I read it one sitting. Gah! Loved it! Misadventures on the Night Shift was my first book from the Misadventures series but let me tell you, if they are all as sexy and amazing as this one, it will not be my last.

5 Teenage Fantasies Come True Stars!!!

I've read all the Misadventures books to date, and I've also read all of Ms. Rowe's books too. And Misadventures on the Night Shift has moved into my Top 3 favorite books by this amazing author! Lucas Ford is a rock star that is suffering from serious writer's block and when he has a meltdown on stage, everyone in the world sees it. Including Abby Medford, the Night Shift registration clerk at a local upscale hotel where Lucas suddenly shows up at... imagine her shock and surprise when her teenage fantasy is standing in front of her! I absolutely LOVED how she didn't take any of his "I'm a rock star attitude." Abby is a woman that has had some trying years in her past and watching her stand her ground, give this man that she's thought about a LOT over the years and used him in her mind for all sorts of dreams, had me giving her a fist pump in solidarity. For Lucas' part, I laughed out loud at how he tried to sweet talk this woman that's getting back on her feet, has some serious goals and isn't going to let anyone or anything get in her way...not even Lucas FREAKING Ford!! "This guy has been my sexual fantasy for as long as I can remember. He's my Desert Island Fantasy, for crying out loud." This book moves at a pace that is perfect for this couple. There's some serious negotiating going on between them when Lucas brings to Abby an offer she almost can't resist. Imagine finally making her dreams come true but what's really at stake if she accepts what Lucas is offering? More importantly, how does this offer make her feel?... "I've loved him since I was fifteen. I want him because he's beautiful and a genius and the sexiest man alive. I admit it. I want him, even like this, because I'm secretly a dirty little thing." That right there marks the change for both our H/h. No matter how they sliced it, this deal will forever change both of them. And in my opinion, it was one of the best things to happen to either of them. Oh and when they get "busy," holy moly wowza!! These two are so dirty and hot and explosive. And there's no lack of laughs in this book either. I almost flew off the stairmaster at a certain point thanks to one of the many one-liners that Ms. Rowe is fabulous at delivering in her books. As I fell more and more in love with this book while watching our H/h change for the better, because sometimes you need to find the person that believes in what you're capable of being and doing. Both Abby and Lucas so desperately need that. Their lives up to this point have been a whirlwind of frustrations and in some cases disappointments so to finding someone that could potentially be the love of their lives, is so much more than what either signed on for. I honestly sat with my mouth open towards the end of this book, saying to myself..."no he didn't!" I can't tell you why I was thinking this cuz that would give too much away. Let's just say, this book is so much more than what I thought it was going to be especially with all that transpired with our H/h. Ms. Rowe has written the perfect book in so many ways. It's funny, heartwarming, sarcastic, hot, off the charts sexy and has a romance that no one expected to happen. And it's a ten in my book!!!

So let’s talk about how much I loved Misadventures on the Night Shift by Lauren Rowe. This book was engrossing, it was unputdownable, and it was a book that I loved every single word of! This book owned me from start to finish. It owned me through every word, through every page, and through every heated and visceral moment that I got within it. What Lauren Rowe so exceptionally created in this book made me blush, made me feel it all with Lucas and Abby, and had me just basking in every single word that I got with them. Lauren Rowe completely gave me it all in this book. She gave me a rock star romance that coupled music and heat and fire and a vibrancy that was practically tangible in this book. She gave me a story that took ahold of me in every way possible, and became something I NEEDED in my life. She created characters that were dynamic, enjoyable, real and relatable, yet every fantasy you need all in one. She created a book that blew me away at every turn, and I literally do not have enough words to describe how much I loved it and how much I enjoyed it. Misadventures on the Night Shift follows Abby as she comes face to face with the living legend, Lucas Ford. He was her teenage heartthrob and crush, a rock star god who she can’t help but be star struck by, and now he’s got a proposition for her that she knows she should say no to, yet she can’t help but want to scream yes to. This book follows Abby and Lucas over their week in Penthouse A, as he tried to write the album of his life, as she tries to figure out if she can keep up in the game they’re playing, and as they both discover that what might’ve started as a little bit of heated fun, is so much more than they bargained for. Lauren Rowe made Abby and Lucas’s characters so easy to love and connect to. They were both real and vibrant, and I loved that even thought this is a novella, I got so much development and story with both of their characters. I saw them grow and evolve and change. I got to be there with them through the highs and lows, through all the fire they shared, and through the moments that almost broke them. I got it all with them, and that is just part of what made me love and adore their characters so much! This book was all kinds of fun, it was all kinds of colorful and vibrant, and it had this tangible heat and spark through every page of it that brought every word of what I was reading to life in the most exceptional way! Lauren Rowe’s writing was a complete delight, and this book has me all the more eager to read more of her books and to get more of her fabulous writing. I need more of her words in my life! Misadventures on the Night Shift was a fun, enjoyable, and seriously heated read which delivered it all! This book was the perfect quick read that gave me two characters with an off the charts level of chemistry, a connection that just wouldn’t quit, and a story that I could not put down from start to finish. Unexpected!

I have to say, this book took me by surprise. Of all the Misadventures books I’ve read so far, this one is this most erotic. Since I was pleasantly surprised by this, I’m returning the favor and not revealing too much. Its well written, no abuse or cheating, but it does have a few risqué scenes...you may need a fan for this one. The only negative was a personal preference of mine. I actually get why the author did it, though. I’ve never read Lauren Rowe before. I was impressed and left very curious if her other books are like this one.
